Victoria Tuchscherer, PhD
Pediatric Neuropsychologist
I am Dr. Victoria Tuchscherer, or Dr. T, a pediatric neuropsychologist who specializes in the assessment of children, teens, and young adults. I evaluate patients with a variety of illnesses and disabilities including Autism Spectrum Disorder, Attention-Deficit/Hyperactivity Disorder, Learning Disorder, anxiety, depression, neurologic disorders, and genetic disorders.
I am from the northwest suburbs of Chicago and completed all of my schooling and training in the Chicagoland area. I earned my bachelor’s degree at DePaul University and my masters and PhD at Rosalind Franklin University. My residency and fellowship were completed at Alexian Brothers Health System (now Amita Health). Following my work at Alexian brothers, I worked as a staff neuropsychologist at NorthShore University Health System. I have since been serving patients in private practice.
Living in this area all of my life, and currently residing in Long Grove with my husband and two young children, has allowed me to establish strong relationships with a variety of schools, psychiatrists, therapists, and group practices. This makes it easy for me to connect my patients with additional services and providers.
Elizabeth Heideman
Pediatric Neuropsychologist
I am Dr. Elizabeth Heideman, a board-certified pediatric neuropsychologist who specializes in
the assessment of children, teens, and young adults. I evaluate patients with a variety of
illnesses and disabilities including Attention-Deficit/Hyperactivity Disorder, Learning Disorder,
anxiety, depression, neurologic disorders, and genetic disorders. I take a whole child approach
to testing and evaluation. I view my role as using what I know about the brain to help
understand how children think, learn, and navigate their daily lives in order to develop
educational, psychosocial, and medical recommendations to support optimal development.
I’m originally from Minnesota, but completed my schooling and training in various places. I
earned my bachelor’s degree from Creighton University in Omaha, NE and from there
completed my PhD at Marquette University in Milwaukee, WI. I first moved to the Chicagoland
area in 2011 to complete my internship at Alexian Brothers (now AMITA health) and fell in love
with the city. I then moved to Boston for my fellowship at Children’s Hospital Boston where I
met my now husband. After fellowship, I was able to convince him to move to Chicago where I
took a staff neuropsychologist position at NorthShore University Health System. I currently livein Chicago with my husband and son.
I spent seven years at NorthShore before leaving to serve patients in private practice. Spending
this time in the North Shore at NSUHS, I have been able to establish relationships with a variety
of other professionals and schools which has provided me with a strong grasp on how to
connect patients with necessary services.
